Question: Will I get 53 cents in September 2005 if I’m a member of S.E.A UNITE?
Answer: Yes, if you are were covered by the SFWU Collective Agreement. You remained covered by it until it expires. SEAUNITE can enforce that agreement on your behalf.

Question: Is S.E.A.Unite set up for Table Games staff only?
Answer: No S.E.A.Unite was set up for all workers at Sky City. As we build our membership the delegates committee will be expanded to include representatives from all areas of work. Sky City is a huge workplace and we will make sure that the interests of particular groups are recognised while looking after everyone who joins equally.

Question: What happens if I was on an Individual Employment Agreement (IEA) when I joined SEAUNITE?
Answer: You remain on your IEA until we negotiate a new Collective Agreement. As a member of S.E.A.Unite we can assist in any renegotiation of the Individual agreement (i.e. when the annual pay rise comes up for Negotiation) and in enforcing your rights under that agreement (i.e. in disciplinary situations etc). While former members of the SFWU remain on their Collective Agreement until that comes up for negotiation, we are taking legal advice on whether people on an IEA who join S.E.A.Unite can join together to negotiate another Collective Agreement.
